Journal of medical physics and applied sciences is an international peer reviwed journal aiming to publish the most relevant and recent research works across the world. Medical Physicists will contribute to maintaining and improving the quality, safety and cost-effectiveness of healthcare services through patient-oriented activities requiring expert action, involvement or advice regarding the specification, selection, acceptance testing, commissioning, quality assurance/control and optimised clinical use of medical devices and regarding patient risks and protection from associated physical agents (e.g. x-rays, electromagnetic fields, laser light, radionuclides) including the prevention of unintended or accidental exposures; all activities will be based on current best evidence or own scientific research when the available evidence is not sufficient. Medical physics is also called biomedical physics, medical biophysics or applied physics in medicine is, generally speaking, the application of physics concepts, theories and methods to medicine or healthcare.

Spectroscopy is used as a tool for studying the structures of atoms and molecules. The large number of wavelengths emitted by these systems makes it possible to investigate their structures in detail, including the electron configurations of ground and various excited states.

Spectroscopy can be very useful in helping scientists understand how an object like a black hole, neutron star, or active galaxy produces light, how fast it is moving, and what elements it is composed of. Spectra can be produced for any energy of light, from low-energy radio waves to very high-energy gamma rays

Spectroscopy is used in physical and analytical chemistry because atoms and molecules have unique spectra. As a result, these spectra can be used to detect, identify and quantify information about the atoms and molecules. Spectroscopy is also used in astronomy and remote sensing on Earth.

Magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS), also called nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, diagnostic imaging technique based on the detection of metabolites in tissues. Magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) is related to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in that it uses the same machinery; however, instead of measuring blood flow, MRS measures the concentration of specific chemicals, such as neurotransmitters. MRS holds great promise in the diagnosis of diseases of the brain and of other parts of the body, including cancers of the cervix, pancreas, and prostate.

NMR spectroscopy is the use of NMR phenomena to study the physical, chemical, and biological properties of matter. Chemists use it to determine molecular identity and structure. Medical practitioners employ magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), a multidimensional NMR imaging technique, for diagnostic purposes.
